Driving Directions to Creature Comforts
From US 19/23/74 near Waynesville's Wal-Mart and Lowes: Take the Lake Junaluska / Hot Springs exit (exit 104). Take Hwy. NC 209 North (Crabtree Road) for approximately 2/10 mile, going under a railroad trestle. Immediately after the trestle, turn left onto Access Road, and then immediately back to the right onto County Road. This is the road that goes below the Lake Junaluska dam, and you will see the dam on your left soon after you are on County Road. Proceed 7/10 mile on County Road, and then turn right onto the 4th street, Kudzu Loop. There is a Creature Comforts sign on the left side of County Road pointing to this right turn. Creature Comforts is then the eighth drive on the right, with a sign at the foot of the drive.
From I-40, Eastbound: Take exit 24, Lake Junaluska/Hot Springs. Turn right onto NC 209 (Crabtree Road). Proceed approximately 2 miles, going through one traffic light, and then turn right onto Access Road, just before going under a railroad trestle. Turn immediately back to the right onto County Road. This is the road that goes below the Lake Junaluska dam, and you will see the dam on your left soon after you are on County Road.
